Prior work from our group and others showed that epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) expression was associated with radiation resistance, and that adding cetuximab (anti-EGFR antibody) to radiotherapy improved outcomes in patients with locally advanced head and neck squamous cell cancer (HNSCC).
